1. Right now in my book, Hermux has discovered that Ms. Perflinger has most likely been kidnapped by the rats that he saw earlier that week. He thinks the rats are working for Mennus, a sinister plastic surgeon. Hermux has now gone to Mennus's health spa under a alias in search of Ms. Perflinger. It seems really off there and as Hermux read more of Dr. Dandiffer's journal of his exposition in the jungle, he is sure Mennus is up to no good. He also has his suspicions about who may have killed Jervutz, the man who may have also had suspicions about Mennus.
2. So far I am really enjoying this book, I think the way this mystery is unfolding is really interesting. There are so many different people involved and as the story goes on, the mystery gets more and more involved. At the beginning of the book the mystery was kind of unclear. I didn't really understand what was wrong, but as the book went on I figured out that every antagonist is looking for a youth formula. This is why Mennus sent a spy with Dr. Dandiffer on his expedition.
3. The main theme in the book so far is greed. This is because, Mennus is is so greedy in wanting the potion for the youth formula so bad that he is willing to kill for it. Tucka is also greedy in the way that she is trying to sell all her make-up products and she wants to be thought of as the best. In doing this, she has no regard for the fact that her assistant is really miserable working for Tucka because, she is really mean to her assistant. Selflessness is also a main theme in the book. When Hermux thinks it's odd that a rat would try to claim Ms. Perflinger's watch, he could have just continued with his day and never have even had to worry about her or anything that was going on as a matter of fact. But since Hermux cared enough to be worried about Ms. Perflinger, he set off to solve this mystery not really knowing what he would be getting himself into. The whole plot of the book is behind this idea that if Hermux hadn't been the caring mouse he was, he would never have even known that all of this stuff was going on.
4. My favorite character is Hermux because, I love that he is always ready for a new challenge that his adventures may lead him to. I love that he is so kind to everyone he knows, and that he is always in a bright cheery mood. Hermux is the kind of mouse that thinks of others before he thinks about himself which is what he is currently doing in an attempt to save Ms. Perflinger.
5. My least favorite character is Mennus. This is because, he doesn't care about what he has to do in order to get what he wants, he just pushes everyone aside and takes it. I also don't like Mennus because, he made a mouse loose about half of her fur and he didn't even care about her. I also don't like how secretive Mennus is and how he seems to have manipulated the employees at his health spa to think that that he is harmless. I find it to be really weird that the doors to the rooms where the guests at the health spa stay don't have locks.
6. Since there are no locks on the guest's rooms at the health spa, I think Mennus will end up looking throughout Hermux's journal and snooping around. I think I will find out who has been killing the two victims (even though I already have an idea) and I think the murderer will strike again. I also have a feeling that police officer that Hermux keeps calling for help will wind up being on the same side as Mennus. I think the same thing about Pup too. That is because, Pup kept asking Hermux where exactly he hid the secret potion information.
