1. Since I have last blogged much has happened. Major Yu captured Alex and sent him to an illegal donor hospital on a tropical island. Here he was only a night away from losing his eyes to a rich T.V. producer. He uses his gadgets to escape with the help of the S.A.S. which is the Australian special forces. From there they go to an oil tanker where Major Yu is with a bomb called Royal Blue. Alex finds that Ash was working with Yu the hole time. Ash actually told Alex that he was the one that killed his parents. As they leave the rig Royal Blue detonates which kills Major Yu and Ash.

2. Of all the Alex Rider novels Snakehead is my second favorite; right behind Crocodile Tears. What I don't like is the end. It is a very unhappy ending, but then again Alex is probably used to those. Alex was excited that he had someone that was close to his parents and some one who could tell him about the past. I guess the only good thing about this was that Alex never knew what happened to his parents and know he has closure.

3. The theme has clearly changed in this book seeing as all of the trust has been completely broken. The dominant theme now is strength. This is shown when Alex has to deal with the news that his godfather betrayed his family and killed his parents. If this were the first time I was reading this I would be very surprised he did not just flip out. Instead he took in the information as though it meant nothing to him. I believe he got his revenge when Ash died on the oil rig.

4. My favorite character is Ben Daniels (S.A.S. agent). he is my favorite character because although he and Alex had their differences while Alex was training with the S.A.S. Although, at the end of the end of the novel ben pulls out for Alex and watches his back while he is on the oil rig.

5. My least favorite character is definitely ash. This is because he betrayed Alex, Alex's parents, MI6, and all of the S.A.S. agents. He was someone that Alex thought that he could count on but apparently he couldn't only not count on him but he should have been afraid of him.

6. The ending to this story was a lot to take in the first time that I read it. It was not at all what I expected. I thought that Ash might have come back to England with Alex but that all went south when Ash turned out to be a double spy working for Major Yu and Scorpia.
