1. Right now in my book, the main character, Phoebe, and her friends Adam, Tommy, and Evan, are going to a dance club haunted house. It is where some of the dead or differently biotic, kids hang out. Tommy and Evan are biologically different. Tommy invited Phoebe to go on a date with him and Evan and Adam tagged along. The have just arrived at the club and the music is very loud, Tommy says this is because it is hard for the dead to "feel".
2. I think the book is really good. It is a unique idea to write a book about a phenomenon where teenagers die but don't stay dead. I like how the dead kids are trying to integrate back into their old way of life and don't care what people think. I also like how it shows the different views on what people think of the dead people by switching the narration between the three main characters. It gives you different angles of the story.
3. The theme of this book is don't judge a book by its cover. Many people are racist towards the differently biotic kids and see them as zombies that should be isolated from the living. They think they represent the end of the world and be shouldn't help them. The aren't taking the time to realize that in some ways the differently biotic kids are alive, they have emotions and feelings like normal people and can be offended. Phoebe and some of her friends don't care that they are dead and want to help them become respected in society.
4. My favorite character is a girl named Karen. She is a differently biotic girl who doesn't care what people think of her and is continuing to live her life the way she did before and not changing who she is because what others want to see her doing. She is faster then more differently biotic people and walks and talks more like an alive human. I find it interesting how some of them are able to move around faster then other differently biotic kids.
5. My least favorite character is a boy named Pete, who is on the football team. He has a crush on Phoebe and hates all biologically different people. Especially Tommy, who is also on the football team and is friends with Phoebe. Pete hates the differently biotic people so much that he is going to try and kill them for good with the help of two of his friends. He thinks the differently biotic people are dead and should stay dead, aren't alive, aren't human, aren't American citizens, and so, thinks they are allowed to murder them.
6. I predict that they are all going to go into the haunted house and at the party they are all going to become better friends and Phoebe is going to realize she might like Tommy as more the just a friend. I also think that Pete is going to start acting out his plan to kill the differently biotic wit his friends.
