Just Right

1. Eleven Seconds is about a hockey player named Travis Roy who ended his career short when he was paralyzed from the neck down. This is a biography of his life life from his point of view. Travis goes through many hard experiences through his life because of his injury, but his biggest is knowing he will never be able to play hockey again.

2. So far, this book has gone into a great amount of detail. Travis Roy tells so much about the people that helped him when he got hurt, and about what he had to day every day to get around even with his injury. The detail in this book has helped me a ton because it makes me feel like I am a part of what is going on in the book.

3. A theme I have noticed in this book so far is perseverance. I have noticed this when Travis got hurt, because it shows want he went through after his injury. I have also noticed this theme in his family because they too had to suffer because of this injury by having to help Travis the rest of his life. Even if, Travis didn't want the help.

4. My favorite character in this book is Travis Roy. I like him because he is so inspirational, and me being a hockey player I know such a serious injury would give me great pain. Also, Travis has the strength to go around talking about his injury publicly, warning people about what to do when put in a bad situation like him.

5. So far, there is no character that I do not like. I like all the characters in there separate ways, whether it was helping Travis out or just being there for Travis.

6. This book being a biography I cannot really predict what will happen next. I do think that Travis will never live the life that he lived before his injury, and he will never be able to play hockey again. As bad as this is Travis still finds a way to make this a learning experience for all hockey players around the world.
