BODY:

1. Right now in my book Marcus was running after Sal to tell him something but Sal got scared and ran into the Street. He was oblivious to the oncoming truck. It was almost to late but then the old man kicked him out of the street and saved his life. Unfortunately the old man got hit by the truck and he is assumed dead right now. When Miranda was sitting on the sidewalk watching people help Sal she saw Richard's shoe with the last note in it.

2. I feel this is a good book so far but there are some things I don't like about it. I did not like it when the old man got hit by the truck when he was going to save Sal.

3. The theme I see right now in my book is curiosity. I saw this when Miranda found the letter in the shoe at the old man's mailbox(home). Also when she finds Richard's missing shoe on the street with the note in it.

4. My favorite character is Miranda. I like her because she can keep a secret. She did not show the notes to her Mom or friends. Also she was understanding when her mom got mad at her for not coming home and did not start a fight when she started to crying.

5. My least favorite character is Sal. I don't like Sal because all he does is care about himself and it feels like he excludes Miranda and treats her like a enemy.

6. My prediction for next time I read is that there will be a funeral for the old man. An that Miranda's Mom finds the notes.
