1. what is happening right now is thee is a huge fight going on between Anna and her mother. It has gotten to the point that it has gone to court. Anna is sick and tired of helping her sister Kate who has cancer. She never had the option to just be a normal kid. From the first minutes of her life she has helped Kate. Anna has given her cord blood many transfusions, and done other things to help her sister, but she has had enough. Her mom says she will not have to give anything else to Kate if she donates one last thing a kidney. The only reason that they had Anna was so that she could help Kate. Maybe that was a mistake her parents behalf because it has just turned into a big mess.

2.There are many thing that I like, but also dislike. What i like about the book is how it brings their family together. They have grown so much as a family, I also like how during this time Anna and her father have grown so much. She deserted the house and moved into the fire station with her dad so that she could just get away. They bonded so much by going on the roof at night and watching the stars and making wishes on the shooting ones, that this may all be over.

3. I theme that i am currently seeing is regret. Anna is starting to regret the lawsuit. She wishes that she had just gone to a single person who could help her get what she wants without bringing it to court because it has just turned into a huge mess, and she is sick and tired of not being the good daughter, because now she will be known as the selfish daughter who would give her dying sister a kidney.

4. My favorite character is Anna's dad because she helps not only Anna but Anna's mom through this whole mess. He takes Anna in closer than ever by bringing her to work and letting her go on calls with them and staying with them. He also helps Anna's mom by telling her that the people at the fire station have raised money for them and that is was going to be okay. He just keeps telling Anna's Mom that, and that's what comforts her most because they have gone through this together.

5. My least favorite character would have to be Anna's mom, Sara. she is just so mean to Anna, like I said the only reason they had her was to help Kate and since that she has really only focused on Kate. You can see this throughout the whole book . Anna is less loved by her mother. There are very few times when Sara gives Anna a hug or even kisses her. It is sad if only Sara had tried harder to be a better mother not showing that she loves Kate more and asking Anna if it was okay for donate what she did.

6. I believe that Kate's condition will soon start to deteriorate, and Anna will decide to give up a kidney. therefore Kate will not die and Sara will start to honor Anna like many kids do to the President. I also think that after they have all gone through these many events that they will all be closer than I think they are now. I don't think the ending w ill be sad I think it will turn out happy I do not know why i just have that gut feeling.
