1. Arthur Dent has just saved the Universe from certain destruction by throwing a SuperNova bomb that would destroy the Universe harmlessly away. Now, Arthur, Ford, Trillan, Slartibartfast, and Zaphod have just picked up an old man suffering from some sort of Dementia from shock, but they don't know what caused it. He was a judge, and some white robots broke into his court and stole the sacred sceptre. This is bad because the white robots are deadly killing machines that destroyed whole planets in the past. Even though they disappeared millions of years ago, there has been a new recurrence of them, but Arthur and Co. foiled their plans. Now they have to worry about a new threat to the Universe, but they don't know what it is.

2. I really like this book because of the humor and wit Adams puts into it. His ability to make the book flow from random occurrence to random occurrence keeps me into this book. This is evident when one day Arthur is on the planet of Krikket, to the next page, when he is on prehistoric Earth.

3. A commonly occurring theme in this book is Friendship. Without it, Arthur would have never survived the Stone Age, as Ford always was there to befriend him. When Ford left for another continent, Arthur went insane, trying to fly and teaching cave men Scrabble.

4. My favorite character is Ford because he is clever and witty. He always has a sarcastic and funny reaction to every comment. He is also a loyal friend and can be trusted. When he returned from Africa to Arthur, it made Arthur cure his loopiness, and both were a lot happier.

5. My least favorite character is Zarniwhoop. This is because he is always thinking about himself and no one else. He corrupts officials and steals what he wants from them, only for his own profit. He stole the Heart of Gold to meet the Ruler of the Universe, to get a column done for his book.

6. I am not sure what will happen next, as I'm on the epilogue at the moment, but I predict that it will go on to the next book in the series. There, I think that everything will be solved, and Arthur Dent and Co. will find The Question to the Ultimate Answer of Life, The Universe, and Everything.
