1. Right now in my book Percy, some demi-gods, some centaurs, and the Hunters are fighting the Titan army and their monsters. Percy's side wasn't doing to well because many members of their army were injured and they were facing a drakon, which is like a dragon but much, much worse. But, then all of a sudden the Ares demi-gods arrive, and Clarisse, daughter of Ares, succeeds in killing the drakon. But, Silena, daughter of Aphrodite, is killed. She was pretendinfto be Clarisse to get the Ares demi-gods to help in the fight and got hurt badly when she charges the drackon. As she dies, she reveals that she was the spy for Kronos, and that she is very sorry. She says that she tried to stop but Luke, son of Hermes and supporter of Kronos, said that more lives would be saved if she continued to help. When the went to continue fighting, Clarisse was helping them a lot and defeating many monsters, but when they thought it time to withdraw, they were having trouble catching Clarisse's attention.
2. So far I am really liking the book. There is a ton of action and you never know what is going to be coming next. Its full of suspense because one second you feel like they may have a chance in winning the war and the next you feel that the world in the book is about to end. I really like all of the back stories of the characters in the book. They are all really interesting and explain why the characters are the way they are. I also like the friendships that have developed throughout the series and I am interested in how they are going to end, seeing that this is the last book in the series.
3. The theme in this book is not giving up. The characters have all been through a lot in their lives but they never seem to give up. They keep trying to protect innocent people from the monsters and the Titans who are trying to take over the world. Even though it may seem to them that it is will be impossible for them to win the war and that they have no chance, they keep on trying and don't give up hope.
4. My favorite character is Nico. Though he is a son of Hades he isn't all dark and mean. He really cares about Percy and helping him defeat the Titans and isn't going in the same path as his dad, hating the gods and wanting nothing to do with them. Nico is trying to convince his dad to help the gods defeat the father of all monsters Typhon. Though Nico is young, he has been through a lot. But, at the same time he still has a sense of humor and has learned that his fatal flaw is holding grudges and is able to avoid making the same mistakes he made in the past. and, he helps others not make the mistakes he made himself. You really see Nico develop and change in the books from a little kid into a hero.
5. My least favorite character is Luke. He seduced Silena into helping the Titans by being a spy and convinced her that by helping him less people would die, and that he would spare her boyfriend Charles, neither which ended up happening. He also gave his body to Kronos and only cares about getting revenge on his father for not ever being there when Luke was little. Though I feel really bad for Luke, he had to live alone with his crazy mother, I beleive he has gone too far.
6. I believe that Kronos is going to come and join the fight and him and Clarisse are going to fight, but, the battle isn't going to be over afterwards. They are both going to withdraw and go rest and mend their injured. The next day will be the final day of the battle. Typhon is going to reach manhattan, where the fight is, and their is going to be a final battle between the gods, centaurs, demi-gods, and the titans, monsters, and Typhon. But, in the end, I believe that the Titans are going to be thrown back into Tartarus or the Gods and Titans will come to an agreement.
