Will Gooch
The Last Song
Nicholas Sparks
Realistic Fiction
Just Right
90

1) Right now in my book, the main characters father was having a flashback of times when he was a kid and the story told about his parents and how they loved him but never opened up with eachother and so he has grown up keeping his feelings sort of "bottled in". He was thinking about why he and his wife got a divorce and than he thought about his parents.
2) I very much enjoy this book so far. Even though it is more of a book meant for girls I think it is a fantastic novel. Nicholas Sparks is a really good writer.
3) A really large theme I have seen in this book is trust. The main character is a 17 year old girl and is there is a lot of trust her parents have in her or at least her dad does. Her mom doesn't trust her so much but tries to even though she is let down a lot. The main character also has a to trust her new friends in the place she is staying for the summer.
4) My favorite character is Will. He's a really cool guy that is always kind and thinks of other people first. Will is a great role model for all guys.
5) My least favorite character so far is this really wierd guy named Marcus. He hangs out with the bad kids of the town and is the leader of them. They're the ones always causing trouble that takes it too far and do drugs and drink.
6) I think next in my book, the father is going to try and find his rebellious daughter because its 1 in the morning and she still isn't home and he's very worried about her because he heard she was hanging with some of the bad kids in town.
