1. Right now James, Lauren and a boy named Curtis who James is supposed to befriend in order to get information on the mother of Curtis. James, Lauren and Curtis are getting off a plane right after James and Curtis had broken out of Arizona’s maximum security prison. After they broke out they met with Curtis’s dad’s assistant who helped them flee from the police by catching an airplane flight to Canada. That is what is going on in my book right now.
2. I think this is a great book so far. I love it because of the whole children in prison aspect. I think this causes the book to become more interesting. Another thing I like about this book is all the detail that the author puts into the fight scenes. This in itself makes this such a great book. That is why I like this book so much.
3. The theme I have noticed so far is heroism. I noticed this in James taking up a life threatening mission in order to save his country. Another area where I noticed heroism is when Dave tackles the guy who goes after James with a knife. Those are the areas where I have noticed this theme so far.
4. My favorite character so far is James. I like him because he is a back talking kid who is very funny. I also like him because he holds up in a fight well. Another reason I like him is because he thinks on his toes and always makes the right decision. The final reason I like James is because of the harsh background that he comes from with his mom dying and everything. That is why he is my favorite character.
5. My least favorite character so far is Mr. Large. I do not like him because he is an awful person. He is so awful because he hurts all the kids so badly throughout their basic training. He also very much enjoys hurting the kids which makes it even worse. The final reason I dislike him is because of the awful conditions that he puts the kids through.
6. I predict that James will meet Curtis mom. I predict this because he has seemed to have befriended Curtis very easily. I also think this will happen because Curtis trusts him. The final reason I think this is because of how Curtis owes James for breaking him out of prison. That is what I think is going to happen next.
