1. Right now in my book Percy has escaped from the inside of Mount St. Helens were he was in Hephaestus's favorite forge. He sent them there to do a favor and he would help them get to Daedalus's work shop. He wanted them to see what creatures were there because he knew that someone who shouldn't be was in his forge, but whenever he went there, the monsters could sense he was coming and would leave. Percy and Annabeth discovered it was Telekhines in his forge, wich are a combination of sea lions, people and, dogs. Percy had been found by them and quickly escaped and found Annabeth to tell her what was going on. The monsters surrounded them so Percy told Annabeth to put on her cap of invisibility and save herself and that he had a plan, which he didn't. The monster started throwing lava at him so he conjured up water. The water swept him away and now he has found himself very weak with someone named Calypso by his side.

2. I really like this book. In fact, I think it is one of my favorites in the series. It has a lot of action and something exciting and important is almost always going on. It is cool how they are traveling in an underground cave and there is always something surprising around the corner. The dynamics between Percy and his companions are very interesting and each person has a unique a personality, with different feelings, and beliefs.

3. I think that one of the main themes in this book is trusting others. In the book, there is a group of kinds including Percy trying to complete a quest. To do anything with a group of people you have to be able to trust there ideas and plans. If they hadn't trusted each other, they may not have been able to stay alive. For example, Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson had to trust Grover's feeling that in a cave they past was the god Grover has been searching for, Pan.

4. My favorite character is Percy. He is the protagonist in the series. He is very brave and will usually do whatever he can to help his friends escape danger. For instance, he told his friend Annabeth to flee and save herself and that he had a plan to fight off the monsters. This shows that he is a brave and kind-hearted because he didn't really have a plan to carry out, he was willing to risk his life to save her life.

5. My least favorite characters are the telekhines. I really don't like them because they used to work for the gods and made Poseidon's trident. But they were caught doing dark magic and were punished by being banished into tartarus. When they got out of tartarus they started plotting against the gods because they thought that they hadn't done anything wrong.

6. I think that Calypso is going to help Percy return to full health and tell him were he is. She will probably inform him about what has happened to him. Then, I think Percy will not be ablw to rest until he finds out what has happened to his friends so he will head down into the Labyrinth looking for them. I think on his way he will run into Luke and will have to battle him so that he cannot continue onto destroy his camp. Probably right when he is about to die, his friends will come and help defeat Luke and his companions and save Percy.
