1. What is going on in your book?

Molly Moon has just arrived in grand New York! Her luxurious lifestyle is sinking in. She used the money won from the local talent show to fly first class, pay for the Royal suite at the Waldorf and much more! Her life has gone from horrible to fantastic overnight! Unfortunately, little Molly doesn’t know that Professor Nockman is after her book and that he will go to extremes to get it!

2. How do you feel about your book?

I love this book. I read it last year and enjoyed it so much I decided to read it again. The book brings the imaginative topic of hypnotism to life! Georgia Byng has an amazing writing style; her detailed descriptions make me feel like I am in Molly’s shoes. When I put the book down my mind starts thinking about what I would do next. Overall, it is an amazing book that I would recommend to anyone!

3. What is a theme in your book?

A theme in my book is determination, which is shown through evil Professor Nockman. He dedicates all of his time and effort to getting the hypnotism book. He goes through so much in hopes of getting his hands on it. First, he traveled to England to pick the book up from a library, however the librarian couldn’t find it. Molly had already found the book and kept it for herself. Then, as Molly is heading to the airport, Nockman sees the book under her arm and follows her to New York!

4. Who is your favorite character?

My favorite character is Molly Moon. I am very happy that she has escaped the horrible conditions of Hardwick House Orphanage. It was terrible to hear about all the other kids making fun of her. Out of all of the children who lived there, I believe she deserved to find the hypnotism book! She is a very street-smart person, which I admire.

5. Who is your least favorite character?

My least favorite character is Professor Nockman. He is in search of the hypnotism book and will do whatever he has to for it. His motives are wrong; he is trying to learn this powerful skill in order to enhance his life. While Molly is using the technique for the same purpose, her past conditions were MUCH worse. For example, at the orphanage, she was only allowed to have her bath water be 10 centimeters deep, one bath a week! I believe it is cruel for this man, who has a decent life; to track down and follow a ten-year-old girl for a book he wants.

6. What do you think is going to happen next?

I believe Molly will use her hypnotism skills to gain money. After purchasing a plane ticket, the Royal suite and other luxuries, her prize money is dwindling. She briefly mentions the need for more money and in order to survive, she will need to get her hands on some soon!
