1. I am at a very exciting part in my book. With only 80 pages left I thought there wasn't much that could happen. I was way off. In-fact right now is the most thrilling part yet. Within the past 100 pages another Hunger Games has started. This is the 25th anniversary and people who have already won the games are being picked to play again. As you might guess Peeta and Katniss are playing again. What has just happened is that Katniss, Peeta, Finnick, and Mags are stuck in a swampish area. They find that they are being surrounded with a deadly gas that could kill any of them at any minute. They strive to make it to water where they can wash the poison off but on the way Mags dies in the lethal cloud. The others just barely make it. They rejuvenate and head on their way until they are attacked by a hoard of Monkeys that are actually Mutts. Once again they amazingly make it out alive.

2. This book has turned out to be much better than I expected it to be. I underestimated how intense and high pace it would be. I also like The Hunger Games (italics) but this novel is much better. In some other books one of the main characters dies and that kind of ruins it for me. Thankfully that has not happened, so far at least.

3. I theme that i am noticing is survival. This is aimed towards Katniss and Peeta because they are going through a near death experience every ten pages. You know this because I have just described this in my first paragraph.

4. I would have to say that my favorite character is Finnick, by a land slide. I feel so strongly about this because of what he has just done and been through. First of all, he managed to save Peeta from the deadly gas. Peeta was getting infected very quickly and lost control of his arms and legs. Even though Finnick also had to deal with the gas he managed to carry Peeta to the water. Also, I feel somewhat bad for him because he just lost the woman he loves.

5. Once again, my least favorite character is President Snow. He continues to be my least favorite character because of the second round of Hunger Games. Katniss would most likely be at home if it weren't for him deciding that this round of the Hunger Games should be played by previous winners.

6. There a lot of outcomes that could happen at the end of this book. most people would say that katniss and Peeta would win the games again but I think that that is to good to be true. I think that Finnick will win and he will possible help Katniss and Peeta escape the Hunger Games without anyone knowing that they aren't dead.
