1. In my book ,Carl, (the main character) is just being questioned on how he broke into Fort Knox. The person that is questioning him is talking about how he used to have to hack into credit card companies by redirecting people that lost there cards to himself and then he would call the real company and pose as that person. After this Carl has to talk about why he did broke into Fort Knox, they can't believe that he was just doing this for himself and that he wasn't working for anyone.
2.Overall I have really enjoyed this book, at first I was really skeptical as to when the book would get interesting, but in these last few chapters it has really gotten very good. The writing is from Carl's point of view which I really do enjoy because I know exactly how he feels. The last chapter that I read was very good, it was when Carl was getting interviewed and you really got to find out a lot about Carl.
3.One theme in this book that I have noticed is strength. I've seen strength when Carl realizes that pouting and not cooperating is not going to get him out of the prison faster than if he just cooperated. He has to pull himself out of a state of almost depression, he decides to tell them the truth, instead of telling him what he thinks that they want. This strength has really helped him in his pursuit to get out of the prison.
4. My favorite character is yet again Carl Hobbes. His strength and determination to get out of the prison in Antarctica has made him a very admirable and I think that he is really smart. I think it is really how he can profile people before he even talks to them. Like when he was on the plane and he saw the agent that had a tan line on his finger, which he immediately knew meant that he was divorced and he immediately knew this is how he could realte to him.
5. My least favorite character is Stagger. Stagger is the sergeant that runs the jail in Antarctica, and he seems very mean and bitter and doesn't seem to like Carl. Like when Carl first arrived and they were given the briefing on the place, he gave a long speech on how if any of them try to leave, if they didn't get shot, they would die of hypothermia. All of this just seems cruel.
6. I think that the inmate Grimstad is up to something. He just seems to comfortable to be in the place that he's in. Like when all the other inmates are lightly sleeping, he is in a deep sleep. And on the plane, whenthe cabin pressure was horrible on people's ears, Grimstad was just sitting not moving or screaming. I think he knows something that no one else does, maybe that someone is comeing for him.
