1. In this book right now, a Muslim girl named Jamie is trying to fit in at her local school. At her house, her dad has many restrictions on who she can hang out with. Jamie wheres a disguise when she is in school, so she can try to fit in, but when she gets home, she changes before her dad sees her. She is afraid that her friends will find out that she in part of an Arabic band playing the darabuka. If they find out, then her reputation in her school will not be good like she wants it to be. A cute boy in her school asks Jamie out, and when they get into a relationship, the boy and her friends want to find out some of her outside life other than school, so they all want to go to her house, and meet her parents. Jamie doesn't want this to happen, so she tries her best to not let people see this. This is what is happening in the book right now.
2. So far into the book, I am enjoying it. Jamie is having a tough life, and she is having to disguise between her school, and her home. She is keeping up her life good and safe right now, but i don't think that she will be able to keep it this way. I am curious to find out what she will do and how her dad will treat her when he finds out that she if like this in school.
3. In this book, I have noticed friendship. The friendship I have seen is in school. Jamie is trying to be popular in her school, and make new friends. Also, Jamie is getting a boyfriend, and that is another example of friendship. Those are too examples of friendship. Also, Jamie is trying to hide her father from seeing her friends, and how she acts in school.
4. In this book right now, my favorite character is Jamie if I had to pick one. She is trying her hardest to fit in school, but she also doesn't want to destroy her religion and beliefs that she practices at her house. Jamie is trying hard to not get in trouble, and she is trying her hardest. Those are a couple of reasons why Jamie is my favorite character.
5. My least favorite characters are Jamie's friends. They are my least favorite character because they want to butt into Jamie's personal life, and they don't have any business into this. Also, they don't need to know about Jamie's personal life, and if they know about this, Jamie will get into trouble, and it will ruin her relationship between her and her dad. Those are why they are my least favorite characters.
6. Next in the book, Jamie will try to make her life better. I don't think that it will turn out good, because she is trying to hide one part of her life, but it will not work. Next in the book, Jamie's life is going to get harder and harder to hide, and if she hides it for a long time, then her consequences will become worse. The longer Jamie waits, then the worse her punishments will be.
