1. Right now, Brian the main character, is going through a very tragic event in his life. He was on the way to his dad's house in Canada when the pilot of the small plane had a heart attack and fell unconscious. The plane crashed and fell into a lake. The pilot died and Brian barely escaped the plane.
2. So far, the book is great in terms of detail. The author , Gary Paulsen, has helped me when reading this book, because the amount of detail creates a picture of that part of the book in my head. I also can relate to some parts of the book due to the surplus amount of detail.
3. A theme I have noticed so far about this book is perseverance. Brian shows perseverance by not giving up even at the worst of times. He is stuck in the woods with no one around, and he still finds ways to survive on the little resources that he has.
4. My favorite character is Brian Roberson. I like him for many reasons. First of all, Brian shows that he is very smart when he survives in the wood for many days without resources that are easy to get. He is also mentally strong when it comes to being able to survive with no one to talk to, and nothing to do for fun.
5. So far, I do not have a least favorite character. I do not have a least favorite character because there is only one character in the book, and that is Brian.
6. I have many predictions for what is going to happen next in this book. My main prediction is that Brian will survive his experience, and he will reunite with his family. I think this because so far it seems like Brian knows what he is doing in the wilderness.
