172 (I am re-reading pages 130-172)

1. Right now in the book, Matt was at El Patron's 143 birthday party. Matt wasn't having a good time because everyone at the party wanted to stay away from him. He kept thinking to himself that he was just a clone and everyone was scared of him. But later at the party, he realizes that because its El Patron's birthday, its his birthday too (Matt is El Patron's clone). So when El Patron was opening his presents, Matt was opening his. Before, at dinner, Maria made a huge scene about Tom sitting at the baby table and that she wanted him to sit with everyone else, but Matt didn't want him because Tom tried to drown Maria's dog. But Maria didn't realize Tom tried to do that. So Maria didn't give Matt the present she had made and made a big scene. But because El Patron was in control, so was Matt. Matt made Maria give him the present and El Patron liked the power Matt had used. Matt also made Maria kiss him even though he knew that was a bad idea.

2. I feel very bad for Matt because he is different from everyone else. People ignore him, never touch him or even look at him. All just because he is a clone. I would consider that descrimination. But, overall I think that this book has a great plot line and I like it a lot.

3. The theme that I see in the book right now would be descrimination. I see descrimination whenever Matt is around other people. No slaves talk to him, some of the family don't talk to him, even his piano teacher doesn't even compliment him when Matt plays a song perfectly. He only points out the mistakes.

4. My favorite character in the book is probably Tam Lin. He is my favorite character because he is the only one in that house that is calm and relaxed all the time. Tam Lin is very down-to-Earth and very natureous. He takes Matt on field trips through the forests and to oasises that no one knows about.

5. My least favorite character in the book is definitely Mr. Alacrán. He is my least favorite character because he is very cruel to everyone. He yells at El Patron's family when he is not around. He also never talks to Matt unless he demands him to get him food or get him a drink. Also, Mr. Alacrán was the man that didn't want El Patron to clone himself in the first place. Matt wouldn't exist if El Patron sided with Mr. Alacrán.

6. I am re-reading a couple chapters at the time. But later on, maybe Matt gets mad and wanders off into the wilderness at night and gets lost.
