1. Right now in the book Ares the war god just came onto the CSS Birmingham for a brief few minutes to yell at his daughter Clarisse. Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Clarisse are trying to get to the Bermuda Triangle through the sea of monsters in order to find Grover and the golden fleece. In order to get to the sea of monsters they have to either go through the Scylla or Charybdis they chose to go through Charybdis because the Scylla is a harder foe. In the fight to get into the sea of monsters something happens to Tyson and they don't know where he is, they can't look for him though because they are in the middle of a fight.

2. This book is very interesting, I really like reading about Greek mythology it is pretty cool. This is also a fun book to read because all the characters are unique and unlike the characters in any other book. I find it kind of interesting that Percy always has dreams that tell him where people are or what is happening to people I kind of feel like he is cheating in some way. This is a great book to read though.

3. A theme I have noticed is acceptance. Percy recently found out that Tyson is his brother. This is interesting because Percy is a half-blood hero so he is human and Tyson is a cyclops. It seems weird they are related but Percy put that aside and accepted Tyson as a brother. Also Percy's good friend Annabeth has accepted him as a friend and she thinks he is very helpful even though some people don't like cyclops'.

4. My favorite character is Tyson. I like him because he is very strong and he can take down any foe just with brute force. I like Tyson because he is very passive-aggressive. I say this because normally Tyson is loving and sweet and he is a very gentle giant. However when you get him on the battle field and Percy needs help it is nothing but domination. He smashes everything in sight and he fears nothing.

5. My least favorite character is Clarisse. She is very mean and nasty to all the other people and she won't accept Tyson, she thinks he is just going to mess everything up. Clarisse is very bossy and she thinks she runs the place even when she really doesn't. Lastly Clarisee is very stuck-up and she refuses to accept help so if people were mean and actually listened when she rejected help she would have gotten killed by monsters a long time ago.

6. I think Tyson just went to the bottom of the ship to repair the engine because he is a very good mechanic. I think that the ship will take down the Charybdis and they will have to sail through the sea of monsters. I don't quite know if they are going to make it through though it is a very dangerous trip.
