1. I have just finished this book. Leigh broke up with Russel and told him about her affair. She is feeling much more liberated now. Emmy still felt sad about not having a boyfriend. At the girls last meeting, Adriana told the them that she was going to move to California for her new job as a columnist. 3 months later...Adriana is doing great in California and the girls have come to visit. Leigh is now dating Jesse and is much happier than she was before. While out with the girls in California, Emmy runs into a guy that she met in Europe that she thought didn't like her but it turns out that he had been trying to get in touch with her ever since. Emmy and this man set up a date while she is there and Emmy gets very excited.

2. I really liked reading this book. I think it was fun and made me want to keep reading because of the great story line. I loved how each chapter followed a different girl and then they alternated through. That was clever of the author to do to tie 3 stories into one. Lauren Weisberger has another book out that I think I will read in the near future. Though this book was not my all time favorite, it was a well written, fun book to read.

3. One theme that I noticed in the course of this book was (love) commitments. This book is all about these 3 women finding love; hence Chasing Harry Winston as the title. Leigh thinks she is in love with Russel and is fully committed to him because they are engaged, until she meets Jesse, has an affair with him and realizes that Russel was never the one for her. Emmy is looking desperately for love after her boyfriend Duncan dumps her in the beginning of the book. Now Emmy is looking for someone that she can settle down and start a family with. Adrianna is finally tying to have a full relationship with a guy after a lifetimes worth of non-commitment men. All the girls are realizing as they are nearing 30 that they need to start thinking about their future.

4. My favorite character at the end of the book was Leigh because I have seen her come so far. She started off as a fidgety, o.c.d. girl that didn't have enough courage to break up with her finance, let alone tell him no to marriage in the first place. After her incident with Jesse, she became a whole new person. She broke up with Russel, she stopped fidgeting and being so nervous and was much more at ease. By the end of the book, she is a happy, relaxed, in love human being who is enjoying life, rather than fighting it.

5. My least favorite character at the end of the book was Emmy. Emmy was always sort of a downer, always looking at the glass half empty. You really only see her light up at the very end when she runs into the man from Europe. I know she was getting over a breakup and having a tough time with that but I never really liked her attitude. Even when they were on their way to see Adriana in California, she didn't really seem completely happy. I wish that she would have been more excited for things and just move on from her old boyfriend.

6. Since I have finished the book, I cannot predict anything and figure out if it happens or not, but I can predict what I think would happen. I think that Emmy would start dating that guy from California since he lives in New York, and will eventually get engaged because they seemed like such a perfect couple. I predict that Leigh will continue to go out with Jesse but will soon get engaged as well. Adriana was dating Toby in California but has since ended it. I don't think she will ever really be able to make a full commitment even if she tried, that just isn't her personality.
