1) Katniss Everdeen has lived another day and is just gathering some rocks and sticks to try and conceal the entrace to a cave she has found. Katniss and her friend Peeta are in the cave to rest and try to get some sleep for the next day. Peeta has a badly injured leg and they are hoping to patch it up because tomorrow there is an oppurtunity to get a backpack that will have medicine in it.
2)I thoroughly enjoy this book. It has a very good range of characters and different settings that Katniss has to survive throught. There is also a good plot that isn't to hard to follow yet keeps you hanging on the edge of your seat. This is the kind of book you don't want to put down.
3)A main theme that I have noticed is bravery. It is currently shown throughout the book by most of the characters and especially Katniss. She has gone through a lot of tough times in her life and has gotten through them and is able to hide her feelings and has also been made into a tough girl so she can deal with a lot.
4) My favorite character is definately Katniss Everdeen, who is also the main character. She is a very cool girl who has quick wits and smart thinking. You also don't see many main characters that are girls too often so it's interesting to read about.
5)My least favorite character is probably Cato. He's a big beast that is just an unpleasurable creature. Katniss needs to find a way to defeat him and continue her journey to win the Hunger Games. But he's something thats in the way of her acheiving this goal.
6) My prediction about what will happen next is I think that Peeta and Katniss will sleep through the night and stay in the cave. Than the next day Katniss will try to sneak farther into the arena to get a backpack that has medicine that can help Peeta with his injured leg. In order to retrieve this backpack though, she will most likely have to go through other competitors.
