1. Right now, the three girls are in Aruba on Vacation. Emmy's boyfriend just left her for a younger, better looking girl and Emmy was very upset. She just got a great job doing what she loves, working with food around the world. Now that she is single and has only had three boyfriends in her life, she has made a promise to try to date a bunch of foreign men from around the world. Leigh's perfect boyfriend just proposed to her but she is worried because she was thinking about breaking up with. She said yes to him but she always feels smothered when she is around him. Adriana has spent to much time being single and has made a promise to try to find an eligible man to settle down with. They are now sitting by the pool chatting about their progress.

2. I am enjoying this book so far. I think that it is a fun book with interesting characters. I am waiting for the plot line to develop a bit more but I think that once it does, the book will be much more interesting. I like how the author writes, it's a similar style to that of The Devil Wears Prada.

3. A theme in this book so far is promises. All of the girls have made promises to themselves. Leigh has agreed to marry Russle. Adrianna has promised to find a man she can be with for the rest of her life. Emmy has promised to stop being so attached to just a couple of men, and date a few from around the world. They are all turning new chapters in their lives and are promising to do things to help move their lives along.

4. My favorite character in the book so far is Adriana. She has a good sense of humor and enjoys life. Everything goes perfectly in Adriana's life and she has no worries. She is also very wealthy and pretty so she gets everything she wants. I find it interesting and fun to read about a character like this.

5. My least favorite character in the book so far is Leigh. Leigh seems like a nice girl but some of the things she does get on my nerves. For example, Leigh is bothered by little sounds like her neighbor upstairs clacking her shoes on the ground. She also has the perfect man that gives her unconditional love, but she is ungrateful. It bugs me that she can't see how lucky she is and how she should take everything more lightly.

6. I predict that Leigh will call off the wedding at the last minute. I think that Emmy is going to fall in love with the first man she has a relationship with and will have to break her promise. I also think that Adriana will start dating the man who she saw at her salon because they wouldn't have gone into such detail about him if he wasn't going to appear again. I think that all of the girls will break their promises in some way or another by the end of the book.
