1. In my book right now Melinda Sordino the main character has just started high school (ninth grade). She is having a lot of trouble in school because over the summer there was some party and Melinda ended up calling the cops. The whole story hasn't been told about what happened at the party but I am guessing that will come in the near future. Since Melinda called the cops a lot of people in her grade got in trouble and even some of her friends because I am guessing they had drugs of beer at the party. When Melinda comes into the first day of school she really has no one to hang out with because her friends are really mad at her because of the party incident. Melinda feels that they have no right to be mad and that she did the right thing and also that her friends didn't give her time to explain what actually happened. On the first day of school Melinda meets a new girl named Heather and they become sort of friends. Heather is the perfect person for Melinda because she hasn't heard anything about her so she has no reason to dislike her. Melinda and Heather hang out for a while and then Melinda realizes that they really don't have a "group" as they call it and that they should strive harder to make there way into one. Heather find a way into a group that Melinda doesn't really like because there not really about her type of thing so Melinda kind of lets Heather go into the group while she still waits to find her own.

2. I really think I am going to like this book when I find out what exactly happened at the party. I feel that right now I don't have a side to take because I haven't heard the whole story yet so once I do ill be able to tell for myself what my reaction would have been.

3. I see the theme of friendship in this book so far because of Melinda really trying to find her place that she fits in and feels comfortable. I hope Melinda realizes that her old friends weren't really friends if they wouldn't allow her to tell her side of the story.

4.My favorite character is Heather because I feel like even if she did know about the party she would be a person to listen to the whole story and even if she thought Melinda did the wrong thing I feel that she wouldn't just give up on her like the rest of her friends. Also I think Heather doesn't really care what people think about her I just think the reason she wants a group is because she is new and she kind of wants a security blanket.

5. I really have only met two characters in this book so it is hard to name my least favorite character because it is not Melinda. My least favorite characters are probably Melinda's old friends because they didn't really give her a chance and if they were actually really close and good friends they would have forgiven her and listened to what she had to say. Also even though I haven't heard the whole story I feel that what Melinda did couldn't have been to bad because she did call the cops which is a very hard responsible thing to do when surrounded buy people who would be mad at you forever.

6. I think that Melinda will find a group and really believe that she has friends and then her old friends will realize that what she did wasn't that bad and they will try to get her back and she won't allow it. Also I think I will figure out the whole party story.
