- Currently, Katniss just got picked for the 75th anual Hunger Games' "Quarter Quell", which is very devastating for Katniss because she must leave her family again like the first time she was sent to to Hunger Games. I also knew this was going to happen because it is very predictable. Also, Katniss and Peeta discovered and watch Haymitch's old Hunger Games footage. They watched it and they were surprised at how he fun. Katniss is now getting ready to, yet again, face the horrors of the Hunger Games.
- I feel like this book will be packed with lots of action during the Hunger Games section. I also think it will be saddening, as it already is, because of the fact that Katniss must leave her family to fight for her Districts. I dislike how the Capital pins all the Districts against one another because it really weakens the country, not strengthens it.
- A theme that I've seen in the book is arrogance. I see this theme in two specific places. The first being the President who was talking to Katniss in the beginning. He is full of himself and he thinks everyone loves him when they really hate him. Another place I (recently) saw this theme was with Finnick, the self-absorbed guy who thinks that he is the best, but he really isn't.
- My favorite character in the book is Haymitch because of the way he figured out that the ax would fling back at the girl he was fighting in the 50th Quarter Quell. I thought it was very clever that he thought to go to the farthest end of the arena to look for things that the game makers may have hidden.
- My least favorite character is still the President because he made this bold decsicion to put only victors back into the reaping, which really made me feel bad for Katniss, and only angrier at the President. I still don't like how he is, as mentioned in the theme paragraph above.
- I predict that Katniss will go into the games and win, because Catching Fire is so predictable.
