1. Right now the two main characters, Dan and Ursula, are prepararing to do war against the Aenglisc, the tribal enemies of High King Arturus who is their ruler. They are both nervous about the impending war and tensions are rising. Preparations are being made and they are both nervous.

2. I sort of like this book. While it has a very good plot, both this book and the one before it have very weak beginnings. They lack information about the characters as they are introduced, and this leaves you rather confused.

3. I'd say a big theme in this is trust. All the characters need to trust each other quite a lot in order to accomplish the things that they have so far. For example, Dan and Ursula swear fealty to Arturus based on their trust in him.

4. My favorite character in the story is Bryn, Dan's squire. He's extremely loyal and has the great honesty of an eight year old kid. He really brightens up the whole story.

5. My least favorite character is Larcius, a duke currently allied with Arturus, but he would probably switch sides for a penny, judging by his character so far. He is greedy and impossible to trust.

6. I think that the war will begin very soon. Also, I have a feeling that the war will be decided in the impending battle, as a ton seems to be hinging upon it. Whatever happens, I am certainly anticipating it to be huge and exciting.
