1. Macy is the main character in this book. Macy has to cope with saying goodbye to her boy friend, Jason, for 8 weeks while he goes off the brain camp in England. He is perfect. Perfect brain, perfect fitness, perfect personality, and perfect everything. She doesn't know what to do since her and Jason do everything together. She doesn't really have any friends because she spent every single free moment with him. Since he is away, she doesn't know what to do. Macy misses her dad very much, ever since she watched him die. They were about to go out running to help her train, he was waiting outside for her. When she was walking outside she saw her neighbor doing CPR to him. He didn't survive and she watched the whole thing happen. Her mother is a really popular real estate agent who always has parties at their house. One day, her mother had a party which Macy had to help out with. A catering company came to help out which didn't go so well. They kept on dropping plates until Macy started helping them. At the end of the party they offered her a job because she was so good helping them. She has to decide whether to keep Jason's job to help him out or to help out her new friends catering.
2. So far I think the book is really enjoyable. However, it's hard to tell how much I am going to like it because I'm not that far into it, but I'm very curious to find out what happens next. I think that I am going to like it because so far it is really well written.
3. One theme that I have noticed is hard work. I've seen this demonstrated by the catering business because they had to try really hard to step up their game and stay in business with Macy's mother. Also Macy had to work really hard to help them cater and keep her job at the library.
4. My favorite character so far in the book is Macy because she is very open-minded. She has her own personality, which is unique and different in a good way. Also, she is very nice to who ever she comes across. She is a good example, for instance, when she helped the caterer, that shows that she is very mature and responsible and I like that about Macy.
5. My least favorite character is Bert because he is very immature, and shows off to get people to like him. Also, he is very obnoxious and doesn't have a good personality to people.
6. If i read on, I predict that Macy will quit Jason's secretary job at the library to join the catering business. I think she will like it better and hang out with the new friends she will make that work for it, too. A negative thought that I predict will happen is that Macy will realize how lonely she is with Jason, and find someone new and more exciting. The outcome of her meeting new people will make her realize how much she misses her life without Jason to do whatever she wants, and she will break up with him.
