1. Right now Fire is traveling throughout the kingdom with the best troops available. She is risking her life, because if she does not go, the troops will surely die. They are looking in the caves for armies of the rebels. There are thousands of these rebels, but there are only a few hundred searching. The king had to keep most of his troops close by for protection. He knows the rebels might want to attack when Fire is not around.

2. So far I really like this book. It is a fascinating book about how someone can redeem themselves. The book is pretty long but it is easy to understand. There is also a lot of parts that move fast and then slow down so you are not over whelmed. It is also really hard to put the book down because you never know what is going to happen next. The suspense always keeps you on your toes.

3. A theme i have noticed so far in the book is dedication. The king told the men that are searching for the armies to go. He knew they were going to die. Fire would not let this happen. She volunteered to go with her men. She is dedicated to them and will not let them all die so easily. She could have just stayed in the kingdom and let the men run off. But, she feels her responsibility to the men that she has fought next to for so long.

4. Right now, my favorite character is probably Fire. She is an amazing person who will not let any harm come to anyone. Even if someone does not do anything to help her, she would always run to there aid. She did not need to accompany the troops on the search. She knew that they were being sent to there deaths, if they did not have any help. She did not have any second thoughts, she decided on the spot she was going to traveling with the army.

5. My least favorite character right now is King Nash. He thinks he is such a good ruler, sitting in his throne all day and bossing people around. He is sending helpless men to there deaths because he wants to be protected at all times. He also doesn't care that other people aren't living like him. The farmers and regular townsmen are starving and can't afford anything. Meanwhile, he is having a great time pigging out and getting everything he wants in his castle.

6. I predict that Fire and her troops ill find the rebels. There will be some miracle and they will manage to get away. They will travel as fast as they can back to the kingdom. When they alert the king of the incoming attack, everyone will be ready. They will be prepared for a long battle that they will win. If they have all the needed supplies and evacuate the citizens, they will have a very good chance of winning. There also wouldn't be any civilians dieing because if they know the attack is coming, they will all go into hiding.
