1.Right there is a lot of drama going on in my book. Mike the main character lost his father at the beginning of the book. Mike and his brother Carlos have to lie to people because Carlos is only seventeen and is not a legal guardian for Mike. Meanwhile, Mike is on an all star baseball team where he is the starting pitcher.
2. So far, this book has gone into great detail. I think the amount of detail is good because Mike Lupica gives a very good description of his characters and the setting.
3. A theme i have noticed so far is perseverance. I have saw this theme when Mike had to persevere through the hard times faced on him when his dad dies.
4.Right now, my favorite character is Manny. Manny is the catcher on Mike's team and is also his best friend. I like Manny because i can relate to him because he is a catcher just like me. Manny also talks a lot, and sometimes i can find myself talking a lot.
5. Right now, my least favorite character is Justin, a player on an opposing team. Justin is mean and he accuses Mike of being older than the rest of the players just because Mike struck him out. 6. I predict that Mike will go on to pitch a great game against Justin's team in the state championship witch would send his own team to the little league world series, which is Mike's one dream.
