1. Right now, the main character Landon was asked to do the annual Christmas play with Jamie. Jamie is the minister's daughter, and she is always made fun of, so Landon is not very excited to be starring in the play with her. He didn't even want to do the play with her, but she did him a favor by going to the dance with him when he didn't have a date (which would have been an embarrassment, but it ended up it wasn't). Landon deep down likes Jamie but won't admit it because she is so different than him and not popular (he is best friends with the most popular kid in school).

2. I like this book so far. It is still building up, and I am are still getting to know characters. But I am looking forward to the part when he starts to fall for Jamie. Right now, however, it is still rather slow, but definitely interesting and entertaining enough to keep reading.

3. The theme right now is insecurity. This is because Landon is insecure. He almost likes Jamie, but since he is popular, and she is definitely not, he doesn't like being seen with her for the play or at the dance. The book right now is centered around him and Jamie, and though they aren't really even friends yet, you can tell that in the back of his mind he is intrigued by her, yet he holds back because of insecurity.

4. My favorite character is Jamie. She is my favorite character because she doesn't care what other people think of her, and i really admire that. She is nice to everyone, no matter who they are or what they are like, and doesn't ask for anything in return. She is so different but not abashed at all by it.

5. My least favorite character is Eric, Landon's best friend and the most popular kid in school. He makes fun of Jamie and everyone else who isn't popular. He is very conceited and asks why Landon was even with Jamie, and was very rude about it.

6. I predict that Landon will fall for Jamie after he spends a lot of time with her for the play. I predict by the end of the book he will not be friends with Eric anymore, and will become less insecure about himself.
