1. Right now in the book the protagonist Caitlin's older sister Cass ran away instead of going to Yale like she was planning to. Which caused sadness to rain down upon her mother, so now her mother is treating Caitlin like Cass to substituted the loss she feels. Caitlin and her friend decided to join the cheer leading team, which she hates but her mom loves so she has to do it. During on game Caitlin falls off the top of the tower and cannot cheer for the rest of the game. Then after goes to the game after party where she meets Rogerson. She later creates a special bond between her and Rogerson, which cause them to start to date. Caitlin soon realises that Rogerson is not as nice and charming as she thought he was.



2. So far I really do love the book because I like teen love stories where the good girl dates the bad boy. The one thing I do not like about the book is how the characters are described. They are really blandly described and most are not really easy to relate to. For example the mother is not a character who you can relate to because she is so paranoid, like she is living through her daughter.



3. I think the theme is sister friendship, because even though Cass left on Caitlin's birthday Caitlin is the only person in their family who forgives Cass for leaving. Also shes is the only one who respects and supports her decision of leaving and running off the the man she loves. She also looked up to her as a sister, not as someone who deserted her family but as someone who was strong enough to stand up for what she wanted to really do with her life.



4. My favorite character is the protagonist Caitlin, because she is the only character I find that I can relate to. She is funny, outgoing, and has a lot more on her mind than people think. She also seems like the average teen. That will soon or is learning from their and other peoples mistakes. She is also expressive like when she writes in the journal that her sister gave her, and is writing it like a book to her so she can feel like she is telling her everything she has missed.



5. My least favorite character is the mother, because she is living through her kids. For example when Caitlin is voted onto the cheer squad her mother was dressed in clothes supporting the team and cheering too except from the bleachers and even though Caitlin wanted to quit she could not because her mother loved it so much and it would break her heart if she did. Which is a sign of a bad mother because a good mother would let her kid quit if they really did not like it. Also she is the type of parent who makes their kid for fill their dreams. Like Cass did not want to go to Yale but her mom wanted her to so she had to go because of her mom not because she wanted to.



6. I think Caitlin will get into trouble with her bad boy boyfriend Rogerson, and Cass will find out and come to her rescue. After everything is settled I think Cass will become part of the family and will have her mom forgive her and they will become a close strong family again.
