End

1. Even though I am done reading the book, I will say what happens at the end of the book. In the end of the book, Permian, a small town in Texas in love with its high school footbal team, is"living a dream" when the team makes it to the state championships.

2.So far, I love this book, but i do think it goes into too much detail. For example, there are a lot of parts that are about discrimination in that time period. I have also loved this book because it does also go into to a lot of detail about the characters which I can picture, and understand the book better.
3. A theme I have noticed so far is perseverance. I have noticed this book all throughout the book. Permian, did not give up even though they had many hardships. For instance, their best player (Boobie Miles) the running back gets hurt very early in their season. Even though they were going to be without him the team had kids step up and take over Boobie's role not only as their star running back but also people stepped up and were captains of the team.
4.So far, my favorite character is Boobie. I like because he is the best player on the Permian team, and perhaps the best running back in all of Texas high school football.I also like him because even though he got hurt and found out he would not be able to play football again he didn't give up. He tried to play one last game through excruciating pain.
5.In the book, i did not have any characters that i didnt like. I liked all the characters because they all had atrributes that bettered their team in some way.
6.I could not predict what will happen next in the book considering i am finished, but i do think that all the players on the team(at least from the way they sounded) were good people and lived on to have happy succesful lives.
