1. Right now in my book, Katniss and Peeta are taking their victory tour around the 12 Districts. President Snow has told Katniss that if she doesn't wash away an doubts that she was trying rebellious in the Games by ousmarting the gamemakers. In District 11, the home of one of the Katniss's close allies during the games, they pledge to give 1 month of their winnings to the losing representives family. While she is in an interview in the capitol, President Snow joins them and Katniss gives a facial expression that asks if she has succeded and the reply is a swift shake of the head.

2. Overall, I have liked this book, but not as much as I enjoyed the first book in this series. The first book in this series, The Hunger Games, was more action. This book is a lot less action and more theoretical. In the first book, it was her life that was at stake and she had to fight for it physically. In this book, her friends lives are at stake and she has to act in order to save these people's lives.

3. One theme that I have noticed so far in this book is change. How Gale has changed from the person that Katniss knew. How their relationship is forever changed when Gale kisses her. How she has to change to love Peeta Mellark, who she has to convince the Capitol that she is madly in love with. And how she is going to have to change her whole life just becasue she won the games. She will have to marry Peeta as they have to coach the new tributes.

4. My favorite charater in the book right now, would be Haymitch. He is so smart, he knows just what to do and what to say. Though he can is somewhat irresponsible, Katniss soon figures out it's because he would never be able to get married and have kids. One good example of Haymitch being smart, is when they are in District 11 after they made a very controversial speech, Haymich lead them through many doors just so that they could talk about their speech that Haymitch didn't see.

5. My least favorite character in this book is President Snow. He threatens Katniss and says that if she doesn't convince all of Panem that the only reason that rebelled was because she was madly in love. I think it was unfair of them to say that if both tributes from one district are lef standing they can win together. Yet when Peeta and Katniss are the two left standing they make an announcement saying only one may win, Peeta and Katniss held berries above their mouths and the announcer said its ok that they both win. He is manipulative and I don't respect him.

6. I predict that Katniss will run away and go into the woods and plan a rebellion. I say this because she has just found out that she didn't convince the people of Panem well enough. This means that people close to her will die. I think now she will run away and plot an assasination of President Snow. I dont think this will work and she will be captured, but she will then start a new war between the nations.
