1. Right now in my book, James is on a holiday from school and he is visiting his cousin Victor on an island called Sardinia. His cousin lives with an Italian artist named Poliponi in a big villa on the beach that is full of Victor's and Poliponi's art. Recently, the house has been robbed by bandits and they took every last piece of artwork. James and Victor are currently at a carnaval hosted by a man named Count Ugo.

2. So far, I am really enjoying this book. It is just the type of book I like and has lots of action and suspense. The book is full of gangs and bandits and there is always a twist that keeps you reading. There hasn't been a time in the book where I am bored and want to stop reading.

3. The theme that I am noticing in this book, if it counts as a theme, is suspense. There are alot of interesting twists in the book and strange or exciting events but the author leaves you hanging and trying to figure out what he means when he rights something. The author never tells you something that is important directly. He gives you lots of hints throughout the book but waits till the end to explain everything which makes you want to keep reading.

4. My favorite character so far is James because he is a very smart and clever boy. He has a very interesting personality and seems to love danger more than anything. He is a quick thinker and can get out of any situation.

5. My least favorite character so far is Mr. Cooper-ffrench, a latin teacher at James' school in England. He seems to be a bad character in the book and the author gives you hints every so often making you believe that he is the bad guy. He doesn't seem to like James at all and it seems that he wants to know the exact location of James at all times which makes him seem like he is following James and just acts suspicious all the time.

6. My prediction of what will happen next is that James, Victor and Poliponi will go back to the villa and they will have another encouter with the bandits who robbed the house. Also, more information about Cooper-ffrench and the gang that he is possibly in will be revealed.
