1) In my book right now, Amir's father, Baba, has just been diagnosed with Oat Cell Carcinoma and I believe it may be a type of cancer because the doctor says they could try chemotherapy on him to delay the outcome of the disease.
2) I feel that this book was a good choice for me too read. It isn't too long for me to handle but its not short and easy by any means. There is a wide range of vocabulary and the storyline so far flows along to make a very good story.
3) A common theme I have noticed is bravery. Amir has to go through a lot in his life and he isn't exactly a very popular kid or someone with a lot of friends and where his best friend is his slave worker. It takes a good amount of bravery to deal with other kids picking on him and being weaker than others.
4) My favorite character is Amir. He is such a courageous and brave kid that sets a great example of how to deal with situations in life. He is quick witted and knows how to solve a problem when it occurs. Amir is also the main character.
5) My least favorite character is another boy named Assef. He's the kind of tough-guy bullies in the book. He teaches Amir some bad things that aren't true and almost tries to change his beliefs. Overall Assef's a very bad influence on all the kids there in Kabul. He is someone who is the typical big, strong, and dumb bullies.
6) As for what happens next in the book, I can't really say. I believe maybe it will tell more of Baba's illness and what has happened to him. Perhaps some of the public will become involved since they are a very wealthy and respected family.
