1. In the book right now, Victor, the detective that the Hartliebs hired to find Prosper and Bo, has just gone to meet with the Hartliebs about the whereabouts of their nephews Prosper and Bo. Since he has befriended the two, he has to lie to them and tell them that he thinks that they took a boat to Corfu. Esther Hartlieb, who's only interest in finding them is to adopt Bo, and not his older brother Prosper, refuses to believe this and vows to find Bo by herself.

2. Right now, I'm kind of on the fence with whether I like this book or not. Though I really do like the plot of the book and the whole idea of the book, there are just some parts that annoy me. Like this, "Only two warmly dressed figures were waiting for the next vaparetto." I think the author was trying to be a little to authentic. Seeing as the book was geared towards a younger middle school audience, I find that sentences like that is where she will lose a majority of young readers.

3. A theme in this book that I've noticed is the difference between want vs. need. I've seen this in how Esther Hartlieb wants Bo. She wants to adopt him, but his brother Prosper because she thinks that they will be to hard to handle as a pair. But Prosper, he needs Bo because after his mothers death because he has no family left. Prosper doesn't just want Bo, he needs him so that he can feel safe.

4. So far in this book, I feel like my favorite character has to be Prosper. I really like how smart he is and how he really looks out for his brother. He always is careful about what they do, whether it be when they are stealing from people, or when they are back at the movie theatre. I always feel like Bo is safe when he is with Prosper, which is a good thing.

5. Right now, my least favorite is Esther Hartlieb. She is so mean and wants to split up to brothers . I feel like she just wants to adopt Bo because she thinks he is cute or something really petty like that. I just can't imagine a scenario that would have her being a good person while she tries to split up two brothers that obviously don't want to be. I doubt she even likes Bo's personality. Also, her husband said that he doesn't even like kids. She'd wouldn't be bringing him into a very warm environment.

6. I predict that Esther and her husband will find all of the kids living at the movie theatre and will make them all go up for adoption. The thing is I think that she will have a change of heart and not split the two up. I predict this, but I also sort of hoping that this will occur, because I want them to stay together.
