1. Right now in the book Logan Thibolt has finally met the lady in the picture. When Logan was on the Marines he carried a picture that he found with a beautiful girl on it. When he had the picture he was always lucky and alway survived bombings. He traveled across the country by foot to find the girl and he finally has. He now works for her at the kennel and is trying to get to know her. In the story Keith Clayton, the officer that had given Logan a hard time in the beginning of the book, turned out to be Beth's ex. husband. Right now he is trying to find Logan because he very angry that he has his camera with inappropriate pictures on them, and because Logan flattened his tires. Everyone's stories are starting to mix into one another.

2. I think that I am getting a little bit bored of Nicholas Spark's stories. This book is great for some readers but it's not really intriguing me. The plot is sort of boring and I can't really relate to the characters at all. But It may be too early in the book to make such a judgement. Maybe this book just has a slow start and I will start to enjoy it more as the story progresses.

3. A theme I have noticed so far in the book is jealousy. Beth's husband Keith Clayton envies everyone else in his life. He is jealous of his family, his ex wife, his son, his co workers, and his friends. Jealousy works the opposite way you want it to and Clayton needs to learn to stop looking at what everyone else has. He has a good life and should embrace and appreciate it. Envying everyone in his life will just make him unhappy.

4. My favorite character is Beth. She has been single for a few years, she lives with her grandmother, and isn't really doing anything with her life yet she is still positive and happy. She is a pleasant character who is kind and easy to like. She always has a clear point of view and really just makes the best of her life.

5. My least favorite character is Keith Clayton. He is an awful father and an awful person. When his son comes to visit him he barely speaks to him just because his son isn't athletic. He makes his son clean his house and he is just cruel. Clayton also does inappropriate things and doesn't try to do anything with his life. He didn't go to college and has no plans for his life. His is a just a jerk sulking around town.

6. I predict that Clayton is going to find Thibolt and do something aweful to him. He was mad that Thibolt flattened his tires and took his camera but he is going to be even more made when he finds out that he likes Beth. I also predict that Thibolt and Beth will fall in love.
