1. My book has taken an interesting course of the past couple of weeks. Scarlett just found out that she was pregnant! Also, her boyfriend, the baby's father just died in a tragic motorcycle accident. She is in a rough situation and it doesn't help that her mother is pressing her to have an abortion. At the same time Halley is not getting along with her parents at all, she's breaking the rules whenever she can and she and her mother cannot stand being near each other. Scarlett confides in Halley to keep her secret but, as the inevitable sets in and the town "bad girl" over hears the two of them talking about it in the school bathroom. Word gets around and Scarlett is debating what to do about it all.
2. At the moment I am loving this book. It is just full of suspense and I never want to put it down. The plot is so attention grabbing and I commence the author for this great novel.
3. One theme I have noticed during this book is everlasting friendship. The bond between Scarlett and Halley is unbreakable and there are no secrets in their relationship. It's amazing how much love can be shown at such a young age, you can really tell that these two girls will always be the best of friends.
4. My favorite character so far would have to be Scarlett. She seems like such a strong, independent woman at such a young age. Even though things escalated in her relationship a little to early on in life, I think she's taking the responsibilty for every one of her own actions. I hope that she doesn't make a mistake that could ruin my appreciation for her as a character in this book.
5. My least favorite character would have to be Ginny Tabor. She is just one of the meanest girls, she tells everyone about something that she knew was not suppost to get out and she does it without even thinking about how it would affect other people. She only cares about herself and sometimes, not even, she drinks all the time and isn't thinking about her future at all. No one likes her and by the end of this book I have a feeling she will be alone all together.
6. My prediction for the next part of this book would be that everyone realizes that Scarlett needs as much support and love as possible. I think she will have a healthy beautiful baby and it might be hard but I think she will be able to get through it with the help of Halley.
