1. The team of Scientists associated with Project Wildfire have been called in to investigate and extraterrestrial bacterium that has managed to enter Earth through faulty sterilization of an orbital satellite. The satellite's misson was to "recover space bacterium and dust for study" This has gone horribly wrong and the bacteria escpaed and ravaged the town of Piedmont, Nevada. The Scientists have ordered a nuclear weapon to be fired at the town since all of the people have died from its awful effects.
2. The book is amazing. It is very interesting and has scietific and medical data to bakc it up. The thing about this book is that anythying in it could happen but, to public knowledge, has not. It is sort of like a "Men in Black" scenario. The government is trying to keep this al hidden.
3. A theme I see in this book is teamwork. The scientists working on the bacteria all specialize in different fields. They are all trying to manipulate a bacteria that is 100% different from any living thing on Earth.
4. My favorite character is Dr. Stone. He is very argumentive and sticks to his ideas until thoroughly proven that he is wrong. He is also the leader of the team and is a world renown scientist.
5. The characters in this book are all trying to prevent a disaster thus there is no least favorite character. However, if the bacteria could count, it would be my least favorite Character.
6. I predict that once the scientists have begun working on the Bacteria, something will go wron, one of them will die and that a directive 7-12 will need to be taken (nuclear bomb hit on Wildfire experiment site.).
