1. In my book right now, Keir and Gigi just went to prom together, where Keir is more than willing too because he is in love with her, but he is doing it for a best friend one grade older who is dating Gigi and Keir is the only guy Carl (Gigi's boyfriend) trusts. The narrator keeps flashing back between prom night and a heated discussion between Keir and Gigi. Gigi is saying that Keir did a horrific thing, a thing you haven't learned about yet. At the end of the chapter you see Gigi trying to leave the room to call Carl when Keir grabs her arm and feels her teardrop on his arm, when he wishes it was his own tear falling on his arm.

2. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book so far. I really like how the author flashes back to the prom night and the after party when each thing comes up in their arguement. One criticism I have so far is that I am more than half way through this book and I still have not learned what the thing Keir did is. Maybe this is supposed to add suspense, but that is not why I am reading this book. If I wanted suspense I would read a mystery, but I will live. Overall I really enjoy the amount of detail Lynch has added to each flashback.

3. A theme that I have noticed in my book so far is forgiveness. During a football game junior year Keir makes a big hit and leaves a kid paralyzed. You later learn that the kid forgives Keir but Keir still always sends him cards and wants to go see him. Like at prom Gigi is asking if she can meet the guy, and Keir says no, even though Gigi has no bad intentions, Keir still feels like he doesn't want to parade around his friends like he's a trophy.

4. So far my favorite character is Keir's father. His father is just so nice and so accepting of Keir. This has been the first year with just guy's, and they both know that soon his father will be all alone at his house. So they have been trying to make the most of their time together. Like they used to play Risk a lot before Keir's mom died. They have started playing again and are now bonding again.

5. So far my least favorite character has been Gigi. They talked about how in kindergarten Gigi got Keir to believe had no hand by hiding it in her coat. When Keir went to look she punched him in the face. Cruel right? But this is how I think their relationship is, Keir would do anything for Gigi. Part of me thinks that Keir knew he was going to be punched but he did it anyway just to get attention. Keir has loved her for years and has watched her date many guys and he thought this was going to be his year with Gigi when Carl went off to college, but he turned out to be disappointed... again.

6. I think with in the next 30 pages I will find out just exactly what Keir did to Gigi. As for what is it could have been anything from coming onto her, or just telling her that he loves her. I just hope that it turns out to be untrue.

Sincerely Will Bowser
