1. Right now in this book, it is about a boy named Clay Jensen who is in High School, and he finds out that this new girl named Hannah moves to town. She happens to be very pretty, and he has a crush on her. It all started with a boy that she liked named Justin, and she had her very first kiss. This one kiss started the snowball effect that lead to the thirteen reasons why Hannah Baker ultimately took the pills and committed suicide. One day, Clay came home from school, and found a package on his porch. He opened it and found seven recording tapes. Clay wasn't sure why these tapes were here, and what they had in them, so he goes to a stereo in his garage, and listens to them. This is what they spoke: "Hello, boys and girls. Hannah Baker here. Live in stereo. No return engagements. No encore. And this time, absolutely no requests. I hope you're ready, because I'm about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you're listening to these tapes, you're one of the reasons why. I'm not saying which tape brings you into the story. But fear not, if you received this lovely little box, your name will pop up...... I promise. The rules are pretty simple. There are only two. Rule number one: You listen. Number two: You pass it on. Hopefully, neither one will be easy for you." When Clay hears this recording, he becomes kinda mad, because he is part of the reason that he is one of the reasons that his crush died. He becomes very curious about this, and he listens to more and more tapes, without letting anyone see them.

2. So far into this book, I am getting very curious. I haven't really read one of these types of books, but I am looking forward to. I want to find out what the thirteen reasons that she committed suicide were. Also, I want to hear the rest of the tapes, and how this is going to work with the package of the tapes getting passed on from one house to another.

3. A major theme in this book right now is death. This whole story is about finding out why Hannah Baker the sixteen year old committed suicide. Hannah's death is the major topic in this book, and that is also the mystery. That is why death if the major theme in this book so far.

4. My favorite character is Clay Jensen. He is my favorite character, because he is the only one that cares about Hannah's death right now in the book. He is the one that is listening to the tapes, and finding out why she committed suicide. Clay really cares about her, and he had a crush on her, and he is also very nice.

5. My least favorite character right now in the book is Hannah Baker. She is my least favorite character, because she committed suicide which isn't a good idea. She overdosed on pills, and that is even worse. I don't know what the reason that she commit suicide was, but I think that she should of at least talked to someone about it before overdosing on pills.

6. My prediction about what is going to happen next is I think that Clay will listen to the rest of the tapes, and find out the reasons that Hannah commit suicide. Once Clay finds out the reason, I think that he will report the reason to his parents or the town police. That is what I think is going to happen next, but I am not sure yet.
