1. Right now in my book, Alex just infiltrated a top secret GM crops lab under suspicion by the MI6. Although he was very nearly killed, he managed not only to download valuable data (his primary objective) but also receive a suspicious sample from the lab. Though this was supposed to be his last encounter with the MI6, Alex could not resist going to the address he over heard the head person talking about, which burned to the ground while he was inside.
2. This book has been filled with action and suspense from the very beginning. There is very rarely a dull point in this book, I am am surprised as to how many times Alex has managed to just barely squeeze out of danger. I am curious to no what plans the company has. Whatever they may be, they cannot be good.
3. I think that the theme of this book is manipulation. This is because different people are trying to manipulate Alex. For one, the MI6 is trying to convince him to do more work for them, despite the fact that he would much rather lead a normal life. Harry Bulman, a reporter, found out about Alex and was trying to get him to tell his story so that he could publish it and make it big. This would also interfere with Alex's dream of a normal life.
4. My favorite character in this book is Alex Rider. There are many reasons for why I chose him as my favorite character. First, he is very daring. Even though he is only 14, he can do many things, like infiltrating large organizations and taking them down, fighting men twice his size, and getting shot at, that most full grown men would never do. Also, he is modest. Alex is not big headed about all his epic accomplishments and only wishes to have a normal life and go to school like any other kid would.
5. My least favorite character in this book is Alan Blunt. He is the head of the MI6. I despise Alan Blunt because he is manipulating a kid to go on these dangerous and usually life-threatening missions without a second thought. He is keeping Alex from having the normal life that he has always wanted to have.
6. I predict that next in this book The GM crops company's evil scheme will have something to do with distributing something made in the labs through Desmond McCain's charity, who is in on the evil scheme.
