1) In my book right now Ruby is talking about how a kid got in a car crash on the side of the street. His name was Devon, she dreams about him and thinks that maybe she would have fallen in love with him, or had kids with him, if he had not died. Right now her father Whip is away and filming for his upcoming movie. Since Whip is caring more for Ruby now in the book he is rushing home, to see how Ruby is taking Devon's death. Although her mother is not alive today she is writing a note to her mother. She explains that her friend Lizzie said that she would eventually stop thinking about her mother, but she says that it is the other way around and that she has been thinking about her mother more and more because she is around her father, who often brings her up.

2) So far I really like the book, since I am almost done with it, I think it was a very good reading choice. I can very much relate to Ruby because she is around my age. In other ways though i do not relate to her so it is fun to read about Ruby and learn things about her, and see how we are different, and learn how we are alike. So far this book is a great read.

3) I think a major theme in this book, is death of a parent. I believe this because earlier in Ruby's life her mother dies, and that is extremly tough for Ruby to deal with. I can tell because she often talks about her mother.

4) My favorite character is Ruby because she is so strong from her mom passing away. Also with her father being a movie star, she has to deal with all of the fame and fortune, and also by not having to deal with not seeing her father as much as normal girls her age. One of the reasons she is my favorite character is because of the way she deals with her sadness, and i think that she handles it very well and very maturely.

5) My least favorite character is Whip, Ruby's father. I do not like how he avoids his daughter often and left Ruby with her mother and just her family, so when her mother died, nobody was there to take care of her. Therefore Ruby had to drop her life, to go move in with her father because of something that was uncontrollable.

6) Since this book is basically over, my predictions her correct. Over time Whip, Ruby's father the movie star did learn to pay more attention to her, and they gradually learned to become more close over time.
