1. Harry just found out that Hermione has been getting to her classes all year by using a time control neclace where she turns it and she can go back to a previous time. They went back in time and went to Hagrid's hut to go and save Buckbeak. After they did that Harry and Hermione ran through the forest to go back and to find where Sirius and Harry were attacked by the dementors. Harry kept waiting because he thought that his fathers spirit came and performed a spell that saved Harry's and Sirius' life. Harry realizes that his father wasn't the one who performed the charm and Harry ends up doing it himself to save his own and Sirius' life.
2. I am probably going to finish this book by tonight but I really like it because I saw all of the movies first and now while I'm reading the books it is a lot of fun to see what the directors added in or left out from the movie.
3. I think the current theme in this book right now is redemption because it is always showing how no matter what you do or have done in the past you can always try to make it better. J.K. Rawling shows this by showing Harry is no longer angry at Sirius because he knows who he really is and that he is not the crazy man that he was made out to be. Also, when Harry and Hermione go back in time they save Buckbeak, Harry, and Sirius.
4. My favorite character now is Sirius Black because after you realize he isn't the mean murderer that everyone assumed he was you find out that he was the one who sent Harry the Thunderbolt and that he was really close with James Potter and that Peter Petigrew was the one who sold out Harry's parents.
5. My least favorite character is Peter Petigrew or his alias Ron's rat Scabbers. I don't like him because now that I know he was the one who sold hot Lilly and James Potter I just hate him. Also because I was feeling sympathetic for him because Hermione's cat kept trying to eat him buy I don't feel that way anymore.
6. Since I've seen the movie I already know what is going to happen but while I was watching the movie I predicted that Harry was going to go live with Sirius over the Summer instead of living with the Dursleys.
