1. So far in my book there has been a couple of leaders of an 8 men army who have been sent on a mission, to go capture some targets. Even though it's an 8 man army, I can tell they are extremely highly trained and they know what there doing. I can also tell it was set in the future because in the soldiers helmets, they are equipped with a screen that shows them all of their targets. As they search through the targets in front of their screen they are locked on the target they need to blow up about 100 feet in front of them. As they wait for their countdown, the squad gets their portable rocket launchers and locks on the target. After their countdown, they shoot their rocket launchers, but the targets don't die. They see a wing come out of the house the target was in, and a person emerges and flies away.
2. So far, in the book, the plot has been good, but it has been kind of weird/confusing. As you can see, it's not every day when you see a person fly out of a house with 2 wings. When I read the cover it said "There are only 5 of his kind, he can fly." When I read this I wasn't picturing it with wings. I thought when I read the front cover of this book, it would be about 5 people who were born with a power, and they wouldn't have large white wings. It was also confusing, and questions were running through my mind. Why was he born with this power? Why didnt he die? Why were they trying to kill him? These are all unanswered questions waiting to be answered.
3. So far the dominant theme in this book is security, and I've seen this theme on every page of the book so far. This theme has been everywhere from blowing up the houses, to the leaders' boss getting mad at them for getting away. I think security is a perfect match for the theme because it seems thats all there has been is security. The army must have been protecting something, maybe protecting the people who can fly from their home country or their undercover agency.
4. So far there hasn't been any characters named in the book other than the boss, who I don't know much about. But currently, I'd say my favorite character is the person flying who escaped the shooting. Even though he got shot at and I don't know much about him, I just feel bad for him because he could've died in there, but he lived. He is also my favorite character because from reading the cover, I feel like they only want to kill him because he can fly and do whatever he wants, but really, he hasn't done anything wrong yet.
5. My least favorite character so far is the Boss. It seems like he is the meanest person in the book so far, selfish, and only cares about what will affect him not his people. After his team did all that to try to capture the target, he yells as them so much for not capturing a flying person. After all, the team leaders tried their hardest to please the Boss but it seems like he is way too hard to be pleased.
6. Next, I think that after this person flies away, these leaders will attempt to track them down. I also think that these flying people will be able to get away, but then they will work for an undercover agency that tracks down these leaders, and they will get payback at the Boss, leaders, and all the people shooting at them, I hope this will happen.
