1. Right now in Battle Dress the main character, Andi, has just arrived at West Point College. Andi decided to go to West Point to get away from her dysfunctional family. She is three days into the six week training that new cadets receive their first year. She is constantly being yelled at by the upperclassman cadets, and is under pressure every second of everyday. If you mess up a tiniest bit, you will be screamed at. Also, there are only two girls in Andi's whole platoon- her and her roommate Gabrielle.

2.I think the book is very interesting. It is never boring, and i am always wondering wether or not she will make it through the day without having a breakdown- it is all so intense.I can't believe that this is what it is like at West Point. the upper class cadets must have a lot of fun yelling- they have a fit every minute.

3.I think the theme so far is never surrender. Their squad leader has just finished giving a speech (yelled) and finished by telling the squad that their motto is never surrender. Andi has already been through a lot and she kept on telling herself to not give up- when she was on her first run, when she was being yelled at on her first day, when brought down the squad by being the only one not ready, she has kept a good attitude and pushed through. i think it will continue to be the theme of the book.

4. My favorite character is Andi. She is a really inspirational person. She tries hard every day and even when she messes up, she doesn't give up. Also she is telling the story in first person so you really get to know her. She is very relatable through her effort to do well, and her many mistakes- which I would definitely do if i were in her place.

5. My least favorite character is one of Andi's squad members, Tommy Hickman. He is very full of himself. he brags about how good he is at baseball, and exclaims that he wants to do better than his dad in a very annoying voice. right now you haven't gotten to know many character, only Andi and her roommate Gabrielle, so there aren't many characters to choose from.

6. I predict that Andi will feel more comfortable with her surroundings with some time, and she will get to know her squad members really well- they will make up for her dysfunctional family. the will become the family she never had.
