1. I have just started this book so not much has happened yet. The beginning started very smoothly though. Skye Hamilton the main character is introduced as a smart, boy crazy, alpha who is a very good dancer. She is in the middle of teaching her fellow friends an interesting dance routine when she is interrupted by a surprise party. This party is given to her because she has been accepted into the Alpha Academy she dreamed about going to. The Alpha Academy is on the exotic alpha island to nurture the generation of exceptional dancers, writers, musicians, and inventors. Skye is ecstatic about going and wants to make her mother and family proud. She is now getting prepared for a roller coaster ride of adventure at Alpha Academy.

2. So far I am enjoying the book. It keeps me reading and has a nice plot. It is hard for me to warm up to the story though because I am so used to the characters from the clique series, which is written by the same author. I also am getting a little bit bored because most of the past books I have read have been adventurous fantasies. So this book can be a bother to me because there aren't intense suspenseful scenes.

3. It is hard for me to find a theme so early on in the book. But one theme I have noticed is leadership. Skye is the leading alpha of her grade and always takes control. She is known to be better then her friends at everything. This is especially shown when the dance instructor lets Skye teach the class because she is an amazing at the dance moves. The dance class if full of Skye's friends known as betas who look up to Skye and adore her. I wonder if Skye will lose her leadership when she is surrounded by other exceptional alphas.

4. My favorite character is Skye Hamilton. This is only because she is the only character who has been described in depth so my opinion may change later on in the book. I like Skye so far because she is a good role model who tries really hard at what she does. She is an alpha because she words extremely hard at being perfect. I hope that she finds everything that she wants at Alpha Academy and keeps up her good stamina.

5. My least favorite character is Skye's dance instructor, Madame Prokofiev. Many of the other girls in the book are annoying but the Madame Prokofiev bothers me in the beginning of the book when she tells all the dancers she thinks they suck. The girls had worked so hard on and then the teacher was just like nope try again and I thought that was really cruel. But I'm sure I'm gonna find a character that is much worse than Madame Prokofiev later in the book.

6. I predict that Skye is going to go the Alpha Academy and be up against many other gorgeous alphas. Skye is used to being the one main person in town and she will be in a for a rude awakening when competition is fierce. I hope that Skye survives at Alpha Academy and wins at the end.
