1. Right now in the book Katsa, the main character, is fighting for her uncle, King Randa. She has a grace. A grace is an extreme talent that you are born with and if you have one you are known as a graceling. They are some what rare and are feared for their difference from normal people. There are seven kingdoms and she going though them carrying out nasty, cruel, crimes for her king. She hasn't felt much guilt in the past, and now her conscience is catching up to her. Deep into her mission, she meets Po, another graceling with a similar talent. They work together and learn very startling truths about what they have been doing and about the seven kingdoms.

2. I feel that this book is pretty good so far. It is not amazing because at some times it can get really easy to predict what is happening next. But, at toher times the plot can be very interesting. I really like the continuous action in this book. It is one of the only books I have ever read where there are no boring parts. It is always fast tempo, frmo the first chapter to where I am now. I really like this in a book becasue it keeps me hooked so i don't daze off, and it keeps me turning the pages.

3. A theme i have noticed so far in the book is loyalty. King Randa has his niece do all of his dirty work with her grace. Since her grace is to kill no one would dare cross the king because he has a dog trained to kill. She has not felt guilt in the past but she is strarting to feel a little. But this is not enough for her to cross the king. Even with all she does for her uncle, he would kill her. He would send his entire army to kill her because that could be the only way. But non the less she is loyal to him even though he treats her like she is nothing more than dog poop.

4. My favorite character is Po. He meets Katsa when she is finishing up a mission in another kingdom. He is not from that kingdom, nor from the one she is from. He has a similar grace, to kill, but he does not use it in the same way Katsa does. Katsa does work for her king to scare people into following his orders. Po goes through the kingdoms, punishing the bad, which his king thinks will attract people to there kingdoms. The mroe people in your kingdom, the more power you get. This is how Po uses his power for good, which makes him my favorite character.

5. My least favorite character is king Randa. He has his brothers ddaughter running around the seven kingdoms killing everyone he doesn't like. These people might not have even done anything to him, but spoken out against his kingdom. He has no mercy and takes no prisoners. He does not use courts, he decides at the spot exactly what will happen to you. So, if he doesn;t like you, you are as good as dead. He can just send his niece with a grace to kill wherever he wants and she will kill anything in her path that the king asks of her. No questions or complaints. This is why he is my least favorite character, he has no consideration of others.

6. I predict that Katsa will fall in love with her new friend, Prince Po. They are both royalty, but cursed with a graceling of killing. They both need to do there kings work, even though they work in entirely different ways. They can kill anyone they wants without even trying. This will make it easy for them to run away together and start a new life. Leave the seven kingdoms to a place where they will not be treated differently. They would just want to fit in like a normal couple. They would not use there powers for evil anymore, and they would try to obstain from ever using them.
