Happy November Bloggers!
Hello bloggers - we will post once more as a comment. Next week I will get the laptops one day and have a quick training about how to post. I must tell you, some very clever students have already discovered an alternative to blogging this week....... will you join them? :) Ms. D

1. Right now in the book Mr Crespey is a vampire. He turns a kid names Darren into a half vampire. Darren will not become a full vampire until he gets much older and more mature. At first Darren refused to talk to his master and resented him. But he has learned to respect him and understand that it was part of his way of life. They have joined a circus called the Cirque du Freak where all the members do wierd acts. One day before they start the circus, a vampire general shows up and gets mad at the master for infecting a kid. They argue and it becomes a big feud.
2. I really like the book so far. I think it is a great story with lots of interesting twists. It if filled with lots of suspence, which are the kind of books that appeal to me. It is not a scary book but it makes you think about how lucky you are to just be a normal human. I think it is a great book for everyone who would like a suspenceful thrill.
3. A theme i have noticed in the book so far is forgiveness. Darren, when he first got infected was angry. He resented his master for making him a vampire forever. He thought he would never forgive him and that what he did was so wrong. But after feeling what it was like to be a vampire he forgave his master. It was a way of life for them and they needed to do this to keep living. He got stronger and faster and got to live longer. It would be harder for anyone to kill him even though it would be possible. He didn't really hate being a vampire anymore so he forgave his master.
4. My favorite character right now is Darren. He is very understanding. At first he was so mad and refused to talk to anyone. But he learned that this has happened to everyone who has ever became a vampire. He changes his view on things once he decides to take a walk in a regular vampires shoes. It is not that bad and he can live a life that is not so different then some people who are not vampires. He also decides he will be a good vampire and use all of his powers for good. Not that infecting anyone is good, but he won't go around killing everyone he sees.
5. I really dont like the vampire master, Mr Crepsley. He has broken the rules by infecting a child even though Darren doesn't know that. You are only supposed to become a vampire when you hit a point of maturity that Darren hasn't even came close too. That is why the vampire general is so mad. The master could infect anyone he wants, so why do it to a kid? He could do it so a man who is mature and that has lived a good life so far and had a good childhood. Now Darren will never know what it is like to be a normal child, which is one of the ways to learn a lot of things about life. I belive that what he did was wrong and that he should be punished for it.
6. I predict that Darren will realize that he should not have been made a vampire. He will run away form the circus and leave his master to rot in the circus. The vampire general might help Darren become a normal kid again or he might have a medecine that will let him have his childhood. Then he would become a vampire again when he is mature enough. Maybe, Darren will not like to live anymore. He might find a girl he likes and try and impress her by doing something really stupid. That is something along the lines of what i think will happen later on in this book.

1.In Wintergirls, the main character Lia used to have a best friend named Cassandra. Then when they went to middle school, Cassie told her that she didnt want to be friends anymore. When they were friends, they made a bet, who would be the skinniest. Cassie would make herself throw up after she ate every single time. Soon that destroyed her organs. WHen she was in a hotel room after she ran away from her parents, she was drinking to much vodka, and throwing up that she died. When Lia found out about this, she looked at her phone, and she saw that Cassie left her 33 voicemails that night before she died. So that haunts Lia, and she always sees Cassie's goes, telling her to be skinnier and soon she will be with Cassie, dead. So Lia, wanting to be skinnier, cut herself, and starved herself. HUrting her step sister Emma and her step mom Jennifer, while in the act. So she had to go live with her mom. Soon after alot of therapy and treatments, she didnt want to kill herself anymore and she ate regularly, releasing Cassie's spirit to heaven.
2.This book was kind of weird, but it was good all in all. I didnt get some of the parts. Like when she talked about her body and some of the terms she used. It was kind of confusing. But all in all, I liked it and it's intense parts.
3. A theme in the book I have noticed is not eating. Throughout the whole book, Cassie doesnt eat, and Lia truggles to lose wait because she thinks she is not skinny enough, even though she is the skinniest person in her school. She doesnt like her body.
4. My favorite character in the book is Elijah because he doesnt care what anyone else thinks of him. He lives his life in a very optimistic way and he is really funny. He eats non-stop, and when he is not eating, he is trying to figure out a way to find money to get more food. He is very caring to Lia, and tells her good things to help her believe in herself more.
5. my least favorite character in the book is Cassie because she is really mean. By making Lia not eat, she was hurting herself and Lia. Throughout her whole life, it seemed like her mision was to hurt her best friend, then dump her, with no support. She just cared about being cool. Also, when she was haunting Lia, all she said was negative things, tearing Lia down.
6.The ending was kind of a give away. I kind of knew that Lia was going to get better, because I knew that the book would have a happy ending to it. I liked the ending because Lia made everything up to Emma, and things got back to normal with her family and her body. It was just a really good ending and I am glad that Lia is back to her regular eating habits and supporting her family and herself.

1. I just finished the book The Call of the Wild at the end Buck runs off with all the other wolves and they form a successful pack.
2. I liked how there was always action in the book. I thought it never got boring. I like how the author describes all of the hardships that Buck goes through.
3. The theme in the book that I see most clearly is acceptance. It shows when Buck is accepted into the wolves’ pack.
4. My favorite character was Buck. I liked how he always tried his hardest to fit in with the pack even though he wasn’t an original member.
5. My least favorite character is the leader of the pack. He really doesn’t like Buck being part of the pack. He always wants him to leave.
6. My prediction for Buck after the story is that he will be an accepted member of the group and they will all strive in the area in which they live

1. Right now in the book, Katniss and Peeta are watching videos on older Hunger Games to find strategies on how to win. They had just watched a video on their mentor, Haymitch and saw how he survived the arena. They had never known how he survived in the arena because he never talks about it or hes to drunk. In order to win the games, you have to be the last man standing, which means that you have to kill the other 23 players. Haymitch threw an axe at the last player and he won.
2. I really enjoy this book so far because it is full of things you wouldn't expect. Since this is a sequel to the Hunger Games, you wouldn't expect Katniss and Peeta to go back into the games because they already did it and you can only play the games once.
3. One theme in the story I see is trust because in order to survive, you have to trust each other. If Someone doesn't trust you, you're as good as dead. Also, Katniss trusts that Peeta won't betray her and that they will watch out for each other.
4. My favorite character right now is Peeta. He is a nice, strong boy who always wants to know whats going on. I can relate to that because I like to know everything thats going on. He also acts good so that people like Katniss and him so that they won't die in the games.
5. My least favorite character is Finnick because right now, he seems like an evil figure and he offered Katniss a sugar cube when they arrived. Because they are playing against Finnick and are trying to kill each other, it gives you the idea that maybe Finnick is trying to poison them.
6. I think that in the games, Katniss and Peeta will have no alliances and will have to fight for their lives.

1. Lord Ion the Ascendant Dragoneye has somehow connected with Eon mentally. Eon tried to gain control of Ido's dragon and the plan backfired as Lord Ido overpowered Eon. Lord Ido gained full control over Eon for a short period of time. He also learned Eon's deadly secret. That he is a girl. Interfering in the government as a woman means automatic and certain death. He has kept her secret just so she does whatever Lord Ido says. Eon, now Eona, is supposed to be fighting Lord Ido but now Lord Ido has the upper hand.
2. I am really enjoying this book. Since it is my favorite genre, fantasy, I am flying right by it. The whole Dragon plot really makes me enjoy the book. It is a little bit like the Eragon series.
3. A theme I have noticed in this book is "what's done in the dark, will come to the light.” I am not sure if this is a theme or not but it is largely represented in this book. Lord Eon's secret about being a girl has slipped to Lord Ido. Lord Ido's secret of trying to take over the empire and trying to find the string of pearls and, using the Sun drug has slipped to some dragoneye's.
4. Eon(a) is my favorite character for many reasons. The main reason is because s/he, despite the odds, tries her/his best to do the impossible. She/he takes great risks to follow her/his dreams.
5. Lord Ido is my least favorite character because he is just plain mean. He takes advantage of people and makes himself look innocent and harmless but really is a disastrous jerk.
6. I think that Lord Ido is going to tell people about Lord Eon(a)'s secret. Lord Eon(a) will then have to escape the empire to escape death.
