1. Right now in my book, the main character Emma is getting pretty unlucky. She works for an energy drink company called Panther Cola and had a big meeting that she totally screwed up by pouring the energy drink all over the advertiser. On the plane while going home, she’s shared all of her secrets to the man sitting next to her because she was so stressed. When she got back to the office, the founder of the company was coming to visit. To her disappointment, she found out about the founder of the company was actually the man from the plane. Now Emma doesn’t know what to do because she doesn’t want to get fired.
2. I am enjoying this book so far. The main character is from England so I find it interesting to hear about their culture. I also like Emma’s dry sense of humor. The author is a very good writer and I think I will read more of her books.
3. I would say that the theme of this book is accidents. This is because Emma keeps making mistakes. First she’s spilled and drink on the man from her meeting. Then she shared all of her secrets to a stranger who happens to be her new boss and the founder of the company. She also agreed to move in with her boyfriend Connor, but she isn’t really that sure she wants to. Now Emma is faced with trying to fix these mistakes.
4. My favorite character is Emma because she is very courageous. Emma is determined to fix her mistakes and I think that makes her very brave. Also, Emma doesn't let her upset emotions show, which shows bravery as well. For instance, Emma got her mother a gift for her birthday to spend a day at a spa, but her cousin Kerry gave her tickets to Paris to spend a week at a spa. Though Emma was very upset, she didn’t let it show. I also enjoy listening to Emma’s witty and dry, English humor.
5. My least favorite character is Emma’s best friend Katie because she is too boring. Katie just seems like the type of person who hasn’t found their purpose in life yet and just needs something or someone to bring them to life. Katie knits her own clothes and is very pouty and critical of her life. Emma also says that Katie always looks surprised, which I think would get on my nerves if I were her friend.
6. I predict that short term for this book, Emma will back out of moving in with Connor at the last minute. I also think that she will develop a friendly relationship with her new boss. Long term, I think that Emma will break up with Connor and start dating her boss.

1. Right now in the book people are trying to figure out who and why someone is shooting a machine gun at the captains part of the boat. Marina thinks that it's the coast gaurd trying to keep the liquor smuggling under control. They think this because last year someones father was shot because they thought that he was smuggling.
2. I think that the book is confusing with all the people with all their differnt opinions and how it seems like they think that the coast gaurd is doing a bad thing even though there doing their job.
3. I think that the theme of the book is trust because anyone of the people that are around you could be aboard the black duck or could be a liquor smuggler so someone part of the good group could be a smuggler.
4. My favorite charcter is Ruben because he wasn't part of the liquor smuggling until he took something from the dead man on the beach which was apparently very valuable to the captain of the black duck. After he took it he was in danger from all of the smuggling gangs.
5. My least favorite character is the captain of the black duck because his ship was a mystery until he showed himself to the boys (Jeddy and Ruben) because he wantef the thing that they found on the dead man so, he basicly gave himself away to easily.
6. I predict that the black duck will be found again by the boys and this time something bad might happen.

This book is a “just right” because I understand it but it takes me a long time to reed it for some reason I don’t know why.
Currently I am on page: 42.
1. I just started reading whole in my life and it is a good book. I am only on page 42 so I am not that far into it. But anyways my book so far is about a teenager named Jack Gantos(which is also the authors name) who starts off with a nice job in Puerto Rico as an electrician for a new hotel which he gets to stay in for free to a kid who smokes weed and drinks alcohol like its water. What is happening now is he is renting a grouse motel thing were he lives.
2. The way I feel about this book is very mixed. One side of me is like ya I like this book a lot because it’s easy to understand and its exiting; but the other side is like, this book is good but it takes me a little wile to read and I’m not sure if I can finish it in my normal reading time. But never the less I like the book and I am going to keep reading it.
3. The theme of my book is unknown. It is unknown because the whole time he is talking about the past so I don’t really no.
4. My favorite character is jack for a couple of reasons. One reason he is my favorite character is because he wanted to make his life better by improving his writing but he can’t because no one will give him a chance and he is in jail.
5. My least favorite character is Mrs. Bacon because she treats her kids bad and kicked Jack out of her house instead of helping him with his problems.
6. My prediction is that I will find out why Jack Gantos is in jail and I will here the story of it.

1. Right now in my book, there is lots of trouble withing the patrol. The four men are all without their jeep, without many guns, and are without water. They are all very scared that they will not find there way back to camp. Then they have just stumbled onto the enemy camp and shots are fired!
2. I think that this book is very exciting and action packed and fun. Also it is good that the book keeps a fast paced kind of feel to it. The book really does not have many bad parts in it.
3. The theme of this book right now is trust. These four men have given all of there trust to each other and trust them with there lives.
4. My favorite character is Hutch because he is very open about everything. Also he is very quick on his feet and always knows what to do. Also he is a really good fighter.
5. There is no character in the book so far that I do not like.
6. I think that soon the Rat Patrol will get back to camp because if they don't then they risk dying of thirst.

1. In my book right now Alex is in the hospital because he got shot in the chest by a sniper walking out of MI6 where he is a spy. On the night before he was going to go home, he was going to sneek out of the hospital for some fresh air when four kidnappers walked in to the lobby and he hid behind a wall and heard the kidnappers asking for Paul Drevin. When the secretary didn't let them come in he (the secretary) was shot. Alex knew he had to do something. Paul Drevin was in the room next door to him and was the son of one the richest men in the world, Nikolie Drevin, he had became friends with this boy. Alex disguised himself as Paul and knocked every single one of them out. Then a fifth kidnapper came in and knocked Alex out and kidnapped him. The people who kidnapped Alex realized it wasn't Paul and locked him in a room to die. Finally, Alex escaped the kidnappers and now he is back in the hospital.
2.Right now I really like this book, it is hard to put the book down. It is one of my favorite books ever. I like it so much because I can relate to Alex, the main character, because he is only a year older than me. It is also very good because there is always action going on.
3.I think the theme in this book is rebellion because Alex is really trying to stop working for MI6. He has been working for M16 throughout the whole series of books. He has always wanted to stop working for them but has never done it. This time I think he is actually going to stop working for M16.
4.My favorite character is Paul Drevin because he is funny and is really nice to Alex in the hospital and he is also just fourteen years old.
5.My least favorite character is the guy who sent the kidnappers after Paul Drevin because he was going to kidnap him and cut off his pinky just because his dad is rich.
6. I think next Alex will go on a long vacation with Jack Starbright, his only real family. He also will go because he is going to stop working for MI6.

1. Right now in my book Noah and Abby have just been found by their dad and Grandpa Bobby (who they thought was dead) after they spent a long night trying to get their food colorings down the toilets of the Coral Queen gambling boat. They had also been stranded before their dad found them for a whole night just drifting around in the ocean. Grandpa Bobby is explaining to Noah, Abby, Paine (Noah’s dad, Grandpa Bobby’s son) and Donna (Noah’s mom) why he let them all think he was dead for so long and how he knew where to find Noah and Abby to keep an eye on them like he had been doing so far.
2. So far I like this book because, Noah’s whole family is really passionate about what they believe in and in trying to do the right thing. That is why Paine (Noah’s dad) went to jail. It was because he sunk a boat that was dumping all their waste into the ocean and intoxicating the water so people couldn’t swim in it. I like that Paine wasn’t one of those people who just go to jail all the time for no reason- he was trying to do the right thing and get a message across. I also liked that Paine was proud about his decision and didn’t stop trying to help stop what was going on even though no one believed him.
3. The theme in this book so far is that if something bad is going on you shouldn’t just ignore it, you should try to stop it at all costs (even if it means going to jail). I’ve noticed this theme with a lot of characters in this book such as Paine; he wants to keep everyone safe from the contaminated water and is really bothered that Dusty (owner of the Coral Queen) would do this to that water that children swim in. Noah also wants to help his dad prove that the Coral Queens waste is really contaminating the water. Even Abby try’s to help stop this injustice that no one else seems to care about. She sneaks out in the middle of the night to try to get video footage of Dusty dumping the waste into the water- but her camera doesn’t work. She also is determined to help Noah and Paine prove that Paine really was right and he wasn’t making up everything he said.
4. My favorite character is Abby because, she really try’s to help Noah and Paine out- which eventually works. I also love that she doesn’t seem to be afraid of anybody like Noah is and she doesn’t mind biting or hurting someone if they are picking on her or Noah- even if she is outnumbered. I also like that she isn’t afraid to ask questions that most people would be afraid to ask.
5. My least favorite character is Jasper Jr. because, he is a bully. He and his friend Bull pick on Noah because he is weaker than they are and he can’t defend himself against both of them. I don’t like that there is no reason at all to why Jasper Jr. is so determined to make Noah as miserable as possible. It bothers me that Jasper Jr. is so mean and that he only picks on people that can’t defend themselves. At one point Grandpa Bobby lends Noah a hand and Jasper Jr. is terrified because, Grandpa Bobby can beat him up, so Jasper Jr. leaves Noah alone when Grandpa Bobby is around. This shows that Jasper Jr. will only try to fight people when he knows he can easily win.
6. Next, I think the cops are going to arrest Dusty and Paine will be on the news, but as a hero this time for realizing what was going on. I also think that Paine and Donnas’ marriage will be saved and Jasper Jr. will move or something so that Noah doesn’t have to deal with him ever again. I’m just not sure what will happen to Shelly, I’m thinking that maybe she’ll find Lice or at least she’ll find out what happened to him (if he really did die).
